Dads MRI brain scan was promsing, so may be slightly less likely to be parkinsons but not sure. Waiting for a radioactive DAT scan - supposed to be 98% accurate, MRI less so. Have been told by one of dads psychiatric care team that if it is not parkinsons the only route left is medical retirement as to have his symptoms while having the support ( Read more... ) -

I also have hospital appointment tomorrow. Mine is with a Rheumatologist at a central London hospital specialising in two of my illnesses and who hopefully can help answer concerns/questions we have about the way my condition has progressed over the last few years and also help us find local symptom support. Spent last few weeks worrying dad may of had a mild stroke affecting his left side only for neurologist to order more tests as they think he has Parkinsons :( this was the neurologist they sent him to after suspended his medical so he could get checked out because of the shakes and weakness and everything. <--- cross posted from facebook ( Read more... ) -

I have found the few months difficult and not sure how I feel. Time is very slippery. I am trying to do as much as possible but frustrating that local services are difficult and not providing much information about activities I could join without needing a carer with me. I would like some more independence but the hours three PA support has helped ( Read more... ) -

Tomorrow Capital Jig is finally here... managed to book my own place and 4 other members of Phoenix when I was better than I am now, so getting it organised has been bit of a nightmare but starting to look forward to it without so much panic now!! Last update 5 weeks ago, Embaressed by my own distance. I forget time, forget days/weeks/months. Try to write updates that are then invalidated by other events and I can't write up everything at the moment. Have managed the best update I can, will add that now. Than you for the well wishses x -
