I had my first lecture today and tonight I have mircobio so I'll end up bitching about that later. But really, the lecture was cool and as soon as the text book comes in it'll be even cooler. Ahem. Excellent on the recovery, but the guy who let the boy drive the thing ought to be whacked in the head with a fucking shovel. Kids can't always do the things we as bigger people can.

My son is almost five and I don't even let him ride his bike(with training wheels) alone.

I agree. I hope he learned the real lesson of that story. Which is never let a child drive a vehicle made for adults. It's people like that who give the rest of us responsible parents a bad name.

I agree there. I mean, I guess she was too worreid about the kid to be mad at him. I'd probably be the same way. But now that the kid's OK I'd want to kick the man's ass.

No matter how much my son begs us to let him fly a Boing 747, he's not gonna do it. Hell, no matter how much I begged the wife when she was working at Northwest, she wouldn't let me do it and I'm a grown man. Unless someone, adult or child, is trained, experienced, and strong enough to handle the machine, they should never be allowed to run it. Especially a child. That shit just makes me sick.

I totally agree. I mean, the reason we have driving ages is because people aren't usually developed (with their motor skills, body size, reflexes and sometimes vision) until they're around 16. Sure, most of my uncles drove farm equipment when they were little but htat's different, they were Irish.
