My computer's been out of commission since last Friday, which has been reall inconvenient. I was in the computer lab for several hours both Monday and Tuesday night, not to mention that's where I am now. So basically if you haven't heard from me, this would be why. I had previously underestimated Steve Martin as a writer, but I found out today that he is fantastic. I just finished The Pleasure of My Own Company about a man who eventually comes to terms with some severe neuroses, like a fear of curbs and a need to have a perfect balance of light wattage. Well, I'm pretty ready for this week to be over. Getting back into the swing of things school-wise has been harder this semester than in the past, but I'm not sure why. Last night I went to see Carbon Leaf at Stubb's in Austin and it was amazing. Their performance was impeccable, their stage presence (especially the lead singer's) was awesome, in every since of the word, and it was sublime. This past week has been one long snow/ice day, and not a terribly exciting one at that. Monday we had no school and Tuesday and today were cancelled because of the massive amount of ice that has covered the Austin area. Well, I'm back in my dorm room and I'm all unpacked. It's a little weird being back if only because I've been away for a month. Everything is very familiar but I'm still readjusting. Some Thoughts on Colorado
1) Snow!
The most important thing I've learned: If it looks knee-deep, it is.
2) Ice!
I've managed to so far not to slip and fall on my butt. *knocks on wood*
3) Real Estate!Everything here is really expensive. I've seen and heard so much that I feel like I could sell a few houses my self. Also, the real estate agent we're working with sounds ( Read more... ) -

Yesterday Nalleli, Kat, Blane and I journeyed to the Great Outlet Malls of San Marcos. We walked around both complexes and had a good time doing it. Stopping in random clothing and furniture stores to look at things that we couldn't possibly afford is half the fun of those places, I think.
