You know, when I was unemployeed, I used to just sit around all day and watch TV or look at internet porn, but it would always make me feel guilty

I'm head server at this place off Holland Sylvania called the Reniassance Cafe. It's small, but sturdy. We gave up that 'straw is good for making walls' idea weeks ago.
Actually, not being able to think very far ahead is one of the signs of depression--although not one of the more prominently recognized ones. Not being able to believe that things will get better or different from the way they are now is another sign. I'm not saying that you are, in fact, depressed. I'm just saying--don't be so hard on yourself.

Yep, we've all been lied to (or at least you and I have!). I always thought life was going to be something that was just.....I don't exactly know how to describe it......so ....well, goddammit I thought it was going to be a whole lot different than it is

Well Skoozaroonie, you've done it again. Pretty insightful post. I commend you for being able to put those types of things out there. I guess that is why I dont have one of these things. I would go back and be embarassed that I shared emotion. Or maybe it is showing vulnerability that I am not good at (bitch). Anyways, just know that there are a lot of people that feel the same way. Go to work, do some stupid shit afterward to pass time, go to bed. It doesnt seem worth the 22 years I spent in the classroom. Maybe we were all bamboozled. All I can say, however, is that it makes me appreciate good times 100% more. College seems like a ling time ago, but defintely was the best time of my life. Now it is weekends in Toledo, Cleveland, or Windsor. Cant be beat. So, now my solution .... everyone reading this quits what he/she is doing right this second, rent one of those tandem bikes with about 15 seats, and bike accross the country handing out pamphlets about preventing forest fires. Other suggestions will also be considered.
not to take away from the other posts (they were all appreciated) but I am overjoyed that both Louis and Zielger commented. Even though the combined information and ideas don't even hold the value of a pile of monkey excrement, it makes me happy. I miss you guys
