Wow what a weird weekend.

I don't really remember what happened on friday, but Saturday morning we found that my dog's ear was swollen up to a size of a fairly large pear. (He's a cocker spaniel, so he has those long droopy ears...) We all freaked out and dragged the poor guy to the emergency vet since his normal clinic was already closed and they said they would have to drain the liquidy goo from his ear and he'd be there the whole day. An hour later the vet calls and tells us that they shaved his ear and found a hair binder that was obstructing blood flow, they cut the binder off and he ear was much better...Now to the explanation on the hair binder...My parents usually clip his ears back when he eats so they dont get dirty and it has never been a problem because they use something large and conspicuous that just holds the ears back without actually hurting him at all, but I guess the night before that they used a little binder and when later they couldnt find it they thought the dog shook it off. Oh, they looked for a while but I guess it got stuck in his fur. Needless to say when the truth came out my mom felt horrible, the dog's her baby. *sigh* The poor pup's okay now, though still on some meds and he got a lot of treats out of the deal, but man, it was scary.

Oh...my...fuckin'...god. If you've never seen that movie and don't like violence...DON'T. For those who haven't and for some reason want to, I will try not to spoil it and will just say. 40+ students in a Japanese 9th grade get stuck on a deserted island and made play this "game" where they have 3 days to kill each other off till one is left standing. If more than one lives, all of the necklaces they are fitted with explode...And the carnage ensues. That kind of stuff should NOT be live action...Granted, none of the stuff that happened was "new," as in, other movies had deaths just as gruesome, but never so much in one freakin' movie. Though, in hindsight...I'm kind of glad I watched it. It gave a sick insight into what people can do under pressure by letting the viewer into the minds of the kids. If you can handle gore in large ammounts, check it out.

The rest of the weekend was spent sitting around and watching over my dog. I started out the weekend feeling great but by this morning, I feel like crap. I guess out of the six+ viruses my brother has been sick with for the past couple of months my immune system decided to let this one pass on to me. Just on the week when I have two tests and a report due in the next couple of days. Lovely, just lovely.

So yeah...with that. Have a great Sunday. ^.^
