No..freakin' fair. I was sick for 2 weeks and just as I thought I was getting better, here it comes again! This officially sucks. I was supposed to go ballroom dancing today but, lo and behold, the mother of all headaches strikes. *sigh* Oh well ( Read more... )

I don't believe in this kind of stuff, or actually, I do a little, but maybe you should do what Lem suggested, and send the Volcano rocks back, or just send them away.

Honestly, EQ is a good outlet for people to hang out without being in the same geographical location. I wish it were slightly more immersive, but none the less if I'm running around with Grekath or Faelyn, I feel like Dave and Elena are in the room (just being really, really quiet).

Maybe we should get a voice chat server going, like our squad in PlanetSide did. Then we can all gab and play at the same time. That might be cool.

Static IP? If so, I've got the perfect application:

Teamspeak.

Runs on both Windows and Linux, client and server. Very slick program. Low bandwidth usage, password protected 'rooms'... it's awesome. The best way to use it is assign a 'talk' key on your keyboard (I usually use the tilde), and just hit that to speak. (You can set it up to be voice activated, but then you get all this background chatter... very bad).

I used to use it for PlanetSide, but it doesn't require a game to use... heck, it'd be good for if we're just sitting around our computers and need people to talk to. An audible chatroom.
