Lolly has died.

That cat was the only constant thing in my life, pretty much. I grew up with him. And he has spent the last month or so getting worse, going through periods of not eating, and finally getting incontinent and letting his fur get matted due to not washing.
Still, 18 or 19 is a good age for a cat, and he was a very good cat.

I'm sorry to hear. I had a dog that died recently, and she was the last of the dogs I had grown up with, so I think I understand some.

Sorry to hear that. I always find it hard to lose a pet and 18+ is a good age for a kitty. The oldest of my family's first batch of cats made it to 17, the youngest to 13 (I think cancer got them both) when I was in high school. My pony died when I was in college. It never gets any easier.
