So let me get this straight...Larry King is getting his 8th divorce, Elizabeth Taylor is possibly getting married for the 9th time, Britney Spears had a 55 hour marriage, Jesse James and Tiger Woods, while married, were having sex with EVERYONE. Yet, the idea of same-sex marriage is going to destroy the institution of marriage?? Really??? Re-post

I've always wanted to know how affairs are less damaging to the greater concept of marriages than same-sex marriages. At least as I understand the biblical text (having not paid much attention in CCD) they're just as bad as one another, yet for some reason we're always condoning same-sex marriage while as a society affairs run rampant, and the churches don't complain, despite the fact that I think it's fairly provably that affairs hurt lots of people and otherwise damage the institute of marriage and the idea of families, while the complaints against same-sex-marriage are quite ludicrous.
