Thank u! My darling on-line dictionary! The world profits by your understanding of the dire need for knowing exactly what words mean and how to use them ;-)

I know it's hard to get rid of the melancholy thoughts right now. We have no life, it's on hold. Sleep, study, eat, study, eat, study, eat, study and sleep again. Only an occasional break (like I'm taking now to write this). But cheer up. After this is all over, we're going to do something fun, spending time with friends, getting in touch with life again.
It's just 9 days away...

Why are you sad?

Er það út af myrkrinu? Skammdegisþunglyndi, etv.?

Usually, to counteract it; I write stories with as much brightness I can muster up, without making the storyline stupid. I even used 3D studio MAX to make up imaginary places, filled with sun, and black, black shadows; and inside the houses, you could see the sunbeams illuminate the dust... And of course, music is a must in these dark hours. I recommend "Múm." If you haven't heard their music, you shall be enlightened!

Do u sometimes suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder (honestly, that's the name for it)? It's supposed to be a lot more common in men than women - and world's highest rate is in Finland. They say that people there are almost depressed by nature... It's the horrifying darkness nearly all year round (even worse that here in Iceland), the repressing landscape and their oh so sad history of wars and subjugation, especially were the Russian hard on them poor fellows. If u haven't read Alveg dýrðlegt fjöldasjálfsmorð by Arto Paasilinna by now, I'd really recommend it...it's truly an adorable and most original history. And never the least bit silly even though the idea sounds ridiculous.
And I've listened to Múm a little, but not nearly enough. They're quite good, I agree
