Megaman X games I have so far: X1, 2, 3 for the SNES; X3, 4, 5 for the PC (yes, X3 twice); Soul Eraser for the GBA; and now, thanks to Shirayasha, Rockman X8 (for a PC more up to date than mine). The closest I’ve ever come to finishing a game without cheats was X1. After that, I just accepted I’m a clumsy player and need cheats. Fortunately, ( Read more... )

OHHHH you haven't PLAYED Command Mission before? hahahahahahaah...

Well, maybe the dialogue's better in Japanese, but... in the US version, oh LORD are there some howlingly bad/stupid lines. Watch for The Stupidest Way X and Zero Get Seperated EVER and The Most Flamingly Obvious Reuniting Cut Scene EVER about midway through the game.

I really hated Spider. They tried to make him all 'cool' and X's new 'special friend' when Zero departed the party, but... he was just ANNOYING and IRRITATING.

What are self-respecting Hunters doing in company like this? They’re cops, they should be running most of these folks in, not working with them!In Command Mission, Zero agrees with you ( ... )

Yes, I had read a bit about Command Mission before, but I haven’t played it yet. It has its own chapter in the Compendium, but it’s not included in the timelines there, and it doesn’t figure into the comprehensive character profiles at all. They seem to be treating it almost as an alternative universe, and now that I read more, I see why: with an X who doesn’t angst and a Zero who does, it’s like “X Series Through the Looking Glass”!

I was going to insult Massimo, too, but the worst thing I could think of to call him was a vigilante, and I remembered that Axl also started as a vigilante, so I cut him some slack. Although Zero did run Axl in at first, didn’t he.^^ I doubt the Japanese dialog would be any better if they’re actually specifying kiza-na in the description, but I’ll try to get the Japanese version too, for comparison ( ... )
