Oh! Congratulations on working!! How's the job treating you? Are you going to be able to sleep better now or is the schedule forever going to make your body flip and turn upside down?

Internship is the hardest year out of any of a medical career, haha. There were some months so far where I worked 21 days in a row, at least 12 hours a day. This month I'm on a research month so I actually have some free time...

In June I'll be done with internship and I'll be moving to LA for my residency, which is not quite as busy. But you still end up working 60 hour weeks. Sooo yeah. Then depending on what subspecialty you go into you can either have what laypeople would consider normal hours (more like 50/week) or you can continue to work your ass off by going into Stroke or Neuro Critical Care or some other ridiculous subspecialty like that. I'm leaning towards the former...
