Promo screenshots from Tales of Gekijou, the special animation preorder bonus that comes with Twin Brave. It's cute... too bad it's such a sausagefest clearly aimed at the Tales fujoshi audience. Cheria's the only female in it, judging from the title screen, and if you look at the sshots themselves it seems like she doesn't show up much at all.

honestly, as a fujoshi, i'd rather see more females too. I'd rather have sophie than cheria, but both are ok. I'd much rather have had iria or ange instead of spada. Iria is so much fun to use in battle. she has range! and guns! I haven't heard the rebirth listing yet, but not sure who would be paired with veigue. annie and hilda aren't very useful in that sorta game... Is Kohak with Shing for hearts?

And, if leon wasn't for some reason, the most popular tales character ever, Rutee might have had a fighting chance. And I don't think they could have gotten away without using Stahn.

but, i REALLY want some sort of non-cellphone release of the tales of mobile games. tales of breaker - i really want to play you!!

Tytree is apparently Veigue's partner and Kohak is indeed Shing's.

Some people noticed that the reason for some of the chosen combinations in Twin Brave was probably due to the results of the last Tales Popularity Contest.

Top Vesperia Combo: Yuri/Flynn
Top Abyss Combo: Luke/Asch (but they went with Luke/Guy probably because Asch plays very similarly to Luke)
Top Symphonia Combo: Lloyd/Zelos
Top Graces Combo: Asbel/Cheria
Top Destiny Combo: Stahn/Leon
Top Symphonia KoR Combo: Emil/Marta

The only reason any females are even up there is probably due to the poll results, too. (Other confirmed females are Farah, Reala, Chloe, Rubia, and Kohak from their respective games, FYI) I think they're pretty much using this as justification for why they chose who they did...now whether that was a good decision or not is a completely different matter.
