The only real problem that I had with the episode was the ending. Wait, what? Sherlock Holmes infiltrates a Pakistani terrorist cell and saves Irene Adler armed only with a Chinese Dadao? That was anbit far-fetched, but like the opening scene of The Blind Banker, I like to think it all took place in Sherlock's mind. Mycroft did say he's wanted to be a pirate when he was a kid. :)

I like that in the end it's a bit ambiguous whether or not Sherlock had feelings for Irene. In the end it doesn't really even matter. I like how they characterized John and Sherlock's relationship, how John doesn't need to be gay in order for them to be a couple, and Irene can still be gay and want to be special to Sherlock Holmes. I thought that was really well-played.

Lastly, I like Moffat's pun with Adler as a dominatrix. The only woman who "beat" Sherlock Holmes, ha!
