A little bit of politics. I'm very anxious to vote tomorrow. I'm hoping the nightmare will be over very soon. I'm watching a documentary on Sundance called Unconstitutional that speaks about how our civil liberties have been robbed from us since September 11th. It's disturbing to see what was done to immigrants after that day. So many innocent ( Read more... )

I'm w/ you on the ACLU talking points argument (Patriot Act I&II etc.), but Mugabe is in power in Zimbabwe and you would probably like him even less than Bush considering he murders his dissenters fairly outright. Also, the Attorney General is appointed by the President, not elected. Please keep in mind that Sundance is extremely partisan towards the left, which many would argue only increases an ingnorance-centered bias by not presenting both sides of a case study.

I hear what you're saying.
Sundance could be biased and left-wing... That doesn't take away from the facts that are stated within the documentaries i've seen on it. I can't imagine what the other side of Unconstitutional would be like. Probably Bush floundering over his words and making up new vernacular for his decisions while forgetting what city he's speaking in. I said Ashcroft was 'elected' by Bush, whereas I meant to say 'appointed'. Same thing, he came from Bush. A spawn of Satan.
I'm not political. Not enough to have an intelligent conversation regarding politics. Enough to have an opinion about what's going on.

all you need is a marketable skill and 300 words of dutch. there are classes that must be taken to learn dutch history. so i will learn to count to 300 in nederlans, and you learn a marketable skill. all i can do is dance for nickels.
