1. What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before?
Listened to internet radio stations (and now I'm hooked!).

2. Did you keep your New Years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't really do the resolutions thing. I tried to incorperate more "me" time this year, but failed.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Mariestella and Jerome's wife (both darling little girls!).

4. Did anyone close to you die?
A friend from high school, in Iraq. One of the most shocking and saddening moments of my life.

5. What places did you visit?
Chicago, NYC, Buffalo, and LA (as of tomorrow).

6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004?
Edward Norton, in bed. Or how about a boyfriend?

7. What date from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
3 November 2004. Bush officially wins the election. I cry.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Continuing to lead ALLIES well, writing poetry that didn't suck, getting closer to many people in Pgh and even some from high school.

9. What was your biggest failure?
Losing a close friend, forgetting how to relax, not giving enough time to people who need it.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Temporary insanity when I feel for one or two guys...

11. What was the best thing you bought?
A new laptop, or plane tickets to all of the fabulous cities (and friends) I visited.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Barack Obama!

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Ann Coulter

14. Where did most of your money go?
Plane tickets, good restaurants, clothes. Yes, I'm a snob.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Kerry winning the election. Then, I was really, really, really disappointed.

16. What song will always remind you of 2004?
Death Cab for Cutie, We Looked Like Giants.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you happier or sadder?
I think I'm not as happy, but I'm more experienced, and learned a lot this year that makes up for the lack of happiness.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Given my time to my friends, given my time to sleep.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Working/studying/TAing/being an overachiever.

20. How did you spend Christmas?
Watched Ocean's 12 with my cousin, was disappointed. Cooked pancakes with Jisela, was not disappointed.

21. How will you be spending New Year's?
In LA! With two of my best friends :)

22. Did you fall in love in 2004?
No. I just fell in lust.

23. How many one-night stands?
Uh...one or two...ok three, max.

24. What was your favorite TV program?
Sex and the City!

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Karl Rove. Well, I don't hate anyone. But I'm pretty pissed at him.

26. What was the best book you read?
The Corrections by Jonathan Franzen. So well written!

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Death Cab for Cutie, who I had previously heard, but now love.

28. What did you want and get?
Many hugs.

29. What did you want and not get?
Many kisses.

30. What was your favorite film of this year?
I might have to go with Ashe and say Mean Girls.

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
Shopping and an awesome party at my apt!

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Less work!

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2004?
Realizing that clothes that cost more are sometimes worth it. But Target is still my favorite place ever.

34. What kept you sane?
My friends.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Physically, Edward Norton. Mentally, Jon Stewart.

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
The election. Gay marriage. North Korea.

37. Who did you miss?
My brother, my DC gang.

38. Who was the best new person you met?
The new ALLIES kids!
