That would be so strange to have that much daylight. I actually like night time and I would miss it if it were gone. Now do you have total night time at other times of the year? And how long does this 20 hours of sunlight last?
With White Nights (that's what they call the 24 hours of sun), it's a gradual process. The days just start getting longer and longer until it's always sunny. Then, the days start getting shorter and shorter until about mid July when things seem normal again. You don't notice so much until you just wake up and it's sunny, but then you arn't sleepy until late--but the sun is still out there
( ... )
Yeah, I feel you on that! Not to mention trying to sleep when your curtains are crap! And wanting to go out at like 12am and then before you know it it's 5am and you're screwed with another sleepless night. Oh, but I really love the white nights... Even though this is my 2nd time going through them, I don't think I will ever get very used to them (sleeping purposes). :))))

In January it gets dark at about 4 pm, but we never really lose light...just dreary rainy or snowy for most of the year.
We get darkness back here at the end of June.
But I'll be in America before then.

Just have cut my eye or something and so it's photo-sensative.
Yes, I do love this time of year...and it's already +21/70 degrees and comfortable. I'm even sweating from the humidity already. :-)
