So Prince of Persia is not going to be the worst reviewed and most offensive movie about the Middle East this weekend. I wish I had a time machine so I could make some Biff Tannen money with wagers.

Perth Zoo has a Persian Leopard (Panthera pardus saxicolor). Some years ago, someone crossed out the "Persian" on the fact-plate by its enclosure and wrote "Iranian"- it's been kept like that ever since...

And yeah. Gyllenhaal is too white for the part. But Hollywood always does that (look at the miniseries of WIZARD OF EARTHSEA, in which the Black hero of the book becomes Shawn Ashmore)

Yeah, "Persia" is an outdated term, though I have an inkling "Prince of Iran" would not sell many tickets.
