It was early morning when the T-1000 stood outside Elliot's room. Early in a distinctly 5 am sort of way. He was always up at this hour - it was a side effect of having slept in the same bed with Reese for a prolonged period of time, and a useful habit to have, considering he now had to wake up early so he could remove Sarah from the IPD office ( Read more... )

At first, the only response from inside the room was a low groan. Then came a thud. Then the slow, shuffling footsteps of someone who was Definitely Not Awake. Elliot usually made a habit of waking up early - or she had, back home - but since she wasn't working every day her wake-up times varied from 5am to lunchtime. This was not a 5am day, unfortunately.

She tugged open the door, rubbing her eyes for a moment before staring out at the face of the Terminator. She wondered briefly if she was having some kind of nightmare, but then she remembered: island Terminator, not evil. Island Terminator...holding flowers and knocking on her door at some godawful hour of the morning? Huh?"Uhhh..." she offered blearily, wondering how horrible she looked, sleepy and disheveled in her rumpled pink pajamas. They had white bunnies on them. She was really fond of them but they weren't exactly something she intended to be seen in. By anyone. Still, she couldn't exactly close the door in his face now. That would just be rude. Even if he was a bad guy ( ... )

"No," he frowned, not particularly appreciative of the speculation, even if it hadn't been maliciously intended. "I didn't stab anybody. I don't generally do that," he paused, realizing that there was a correction he could make to lend more accuracy to the statement - "when I'm sane."

Then his gaze locked on the bunnies and his brow rose. Elliot seemed to have a bunny fixation. Personally, he preferred to sleep naked. He thought his approach was more practical, but decided not to comment on it for the time being.

"But I did win you," he reminded her cautiously, hoping that she knew, and that it was just the recent detachment from sleep that had put her cognitive functions on hold.

He kept holding the flowers. He wasn't exactly sure what the procedure involving them was.

"Oh, right," Elliot said, glad he hadn't punched her in the face. So far, Elliot. So far.

"Yeah...the auction...um." She'd kind of been hoping he'd forgotten about it, because she couldn't really think of what a Terminator would want to do with her for a day. Okay, so she could, but none of the thoughts were pleasant. She cringed a little, combing a hand back through her sleep-mussed hair.

"Are those for me?" she asked, gesturing at the flowers. It was sweet, in a way. As much as a former killing machine could be sweet.

Elliot seemed concerned. Which he supposed was justified, considering her main points of interaction with him involved either nudity or stabbing.

He really wasn't very good at making favorable impressions.

"I'm not going to hurt you," he assured her earnestly. "Or try to have sex with you." He hoped that covered everything. "Or be naked without your consent." Now it covered everything.

"And yeah," he extended the flowers in her direction, hoping she'd know what to do with them, "they are." He didn't really understand the purpose of flowers as a decorative item, but some humans seemed to like them.
