That antsy feeling you get

when you are almost done the last day of the 3-day work week which followed a week long vacation? I've got it. As such, my productivity today is kinda on the side of nil. So I'm taking a break to blather on about things here

I'm not really finding the lack of diversity to be a problem in Dishonored, because I mostly picture it to be a vaguely eastern European monarchy....of the sort that wasn't really known for diversity. I think it's much more commenting on power (and, to a lesser extent, religion) than race

I agree, and I guess that's kind of my point. It takes place in a fantasy realm, in a fantasy country/city, with a fantasy government, and fantasy religion. So the lack of diversity just comes across as - at best - lazy game design (or possibly a deliberate choice made to save on programming space), since the lack of diversity is NOT because it needs to maintain some level of historical accuracy as this isn't meant to reflect a real society

I think Thief 2 is generally regarded as the "best" of the series. It'll probably appear pretty dated now, since it came out around the same time as the original Half-Life. I never played the third, it was sort of gimped at the time for the original Xbox. Thief 4 is supposed to be coming out sometime soon....every now and then I see people in my Steam friends list playing the beta, so they must be getting close.

Thanks for the tips! I occasionally enjoy me some dated games (hell, I STILL get all nostalgic over "Castle of the Winds"), so I might see if I can get a hold of it and give it a go before the new version comes out. (Once I'm finished with the other games in my queue that is...)
