So, for those of you who are into Japan-related stuff, is $40 a decent price for a kimono in good shape?

randomness, question

I found it at a flea market locally. skydancerlilitu April 2 2007, 03:53:26 UTC
I wouldn't begin to know how to describe the pattern, but it was blue silk and had no flaws that I saw at first look. I'd have to examine it more closely without a baby helping me. ;) It did not include obi or underthings or even accessories. I have no idea how it looks worn.

Around here I would expect to pay more for a silk dress than kimono because I really don't think that people in the pseudo-rural suburn where the flea market is know anything at all about kimonos. I think it probably just looks either costumey or like a robe to them.
