How Weaning Happens by Diane Bengson is a book put out by La Leche League and has a very misleading title.

I was wondering about that book. That's disappointing, especially in it's total dismissing of doctors. They aren't all bad or threatened by breastfeeding. I've got two doctors who didn't bat an eye last week when I told them Gaz is still nursing and are willing to work with me on what meds I can safely take. I can't be the only one who hasn't felt pressured by doctors to wean.

Thanks for the review. I know what I won't be wasting my money on!

My doctors haven't pressured me to wean, either. Even when I was prescribed meds that I can't take while nursing, that doctor said I definitely didn't have to start them right away if I wasn't ready to wean. I'm glad the review helped; you were one of the mamas I was thinking about when I wrote it!
