My grandmother used to say, "Forgive and Forget, But Always, Always, Remember". What I have eventually taken away from that was, "get over it, just don't let anybody do that to you again".

Why, yes, I am from a snarky family, why do you ask?

I am absolutely with your Grandmother on this one. I don't think that Turn the Other Cheek means bend over, grab ankles, Turn Those Other Cheeks to let somebody target you again.

My family is not snarky. A lot of other things, mind you, but not snarky. (Me personally on the other hand...)

Dear Husband's family, on the other hand, invented and wrote the book, nay the entire encyclopedia, on Snark. I am a dilettante; my snark is amateurish in comparison.
