When we last left off in my recollections from having a baby, I had just received my epidural and was feeling much much better.  It was about 4 or 5 in the afternoon by this point. The nurse checked on me regularly, and soon decided that the epidural had caused my contractions to slow down too much.  She said this was a common side effect, so ( Read more... )

Oh goodness. I didn't know you had to have a C-section. That had to be scary.

Yeah we didn't advertise that fact. It certainly wasn't ideal, but I think the doctors and nurses I had for the C-section did the best they could.

I agree. Sometimes, it's unavoidable. I know my friend Katie had to have one with her first kid, too. He's nearly a year old now.
