ARGH NURSE RAGE. RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE. Also, I'm glad you're sharing these posts because I feel like people don't talk much about real life birth stuff much besides the "society approved" stuff. Like it's all either, "oh yes it was difficult but wonderful and isn't the miracle of life all butterflies and roses yaaaaaay" or it's the opposite "Gimme the epidural, having a baby is so hard, this is going to be my only on, hardy har ha ha!"

So it's totally different to read an honest account of the good and the bad and the scary and all that stuff. I'm glad writing about it helps you with the processing aspect of it.

so much rage.

That's true. My family members tend to be 'focus on the negative' people anyway, so I only ever heard the horrible parts of their experiences...and two out of three people at work had bad experiences too. Everybody has a part that they really hate, I guess, but only one of those people actually had complications. So I guess that's why I felt like the actual laboring part wasn't all that bad, because according to them it could have been a lot worse.

It sounds to me like she gets kickbacks from referring the other doctor. Since you didn't take her advice, she got bitchy because that's money not reaching her pocket. Or she could have just been a big big advocate of that method and got bitchy when you didn't do it that way. Either way, she should be fired for treating patients like that. You can't be the only one she's done this to.

I'm really REALLY sorry you had to go through that. I can't imagine how unbearable it was. You and Trevor deserved the best care and that's not what you got.

Yeah I really just need to call the hospital and file a complaint. And find out how to send a thank you treats basket to the night shift nurses.

Right?! blows my mind. Just this once I should have listened to my cousin and demanded to speak with either the lead nurse or my doctor instead of sitting there all day, taking nurse kims word about the pain med.
