So it turns out my parents don't have enough $ for a deposit on a house and moving expenses. Nor do I have enough on my own to get that apartment. pet deposits bite hard.
Together, we can get the house. Maybe. If I buy food/gas with my credit card for a couple weeks.
I have an oddly positive outlook to these seemingly dire circumstances.

I know about the pet deposits... (Don't say I didn't warn you about renting in the DFW area, because I did...)
So, given the financial situation, take the job! They obviously want you because you're damned good. They went out of their way to grab you. The pay is decent, and you need the money. It's a win-win all around. Besides, all you need to do is to share a place with your parents until you can pay your own deposits and rent. I know it's less than ideal because it perpetuates you living with your parents, but it's a step in the right direction.
You know, I saw something the other day that said this: "Life begins at the end of your comfort zone." I know that to be true, so I'm passing it on to you.

hang in there. you have made so much progress in the last few years. you can always move in with your parents till you have enough saved up to move into your own place! get established with your job and stuff.
