I pessimistically don't think it's all that unusual for me to make a situation more complicated than it has to be in the name of "helping". Here are a couple of examples

Do you need to take care of everyone who does things wrong? There are very many people on this planet clearly doing things wrong. Please get busy.

Many people, just to annoy us, insist on not caring about efficiency or doing things in ways logical to us. This is a very inefficient planet.
