Is anyone going to the MLP Fair this year? Or know someone who is who wouldn't mind picking up an exclusive pony for me? I'd be happy to pay the pre-order price now if necessary ( Read more... )

I usually don't like the new anorexic ponies myself, but I agree, that one is quite pretty. Especially her eyes.

I can't see the SDCC pony, though, I just see "SSSsssssss" when I click on it. Same with the "these guys" one.

The eBay auction HAS to have been for charity and/or artist. I mean, it goes out of its way to mention "Just Food" and "artist Peter Miller", who is apparently this guy. Huh. Looks like he could've done better than just lines with a Sharpie...

I need one of those!

My sister-in-law chose "peacock" for my niece's nursery theme, and since her family is sort of wealthy I don't like to buy much for her kids because they want for nothing. But I have been looking for something peacock that would be a bit unique (and not something she is likely to already have). Plus after my brother spent so many years as a child being run off from trying to play with my ponies, it seems a fitting choice.

Where do I go to hunt for one?

They're being sold at the MLP Fair convention in the US and also at the UK convention. If you know anyone who's going to either, they might be able to grab you a pony. If not, last year there were a few hundred leftovers from the US Fair that they sold online after the event, so you might be able to buy one then. :)

Right now in their store they have the pony for pre-order only (you have to pick her up at the con). But after the con they will likely start selling/shipping any leftovers. That's what they did last year, anyway. But the pony is $35 and their shipping fee was pretty high last time. I think it was maybe $43 shipped.
