Tantra

While successfully avoiding the homework in my lap, I ran into these words today:

And yet it can happen during sexual relations that for a moment or for hours, the partners, both of them, feel a oneness with all things which is infinitely poignant because it feels like the state we were born to live in all the time, our original nature.

Yep, and not just from sex.

Exactly! I remember feeling it at times when pregnant and when birthing. I remember it vividly from times that I was nursing. Sometimes I have felt it from being immersed in nature, or being at ritual, or during harmonious times cuddling with my nearest and dearest friends.

Lij and i have this.. Love ritual we do about once a year or so to refirm our bond and refresh our love altar in the bedroom. It, uh naturally, includes a bit of Sex Magick (which is rather tantric at it's base).

Normally i'm just a wham bam thank yew kinda gal. ~grin~ but a few of these ritual times i have felt that feeling of oneness. One time, quite surprising to lijah and myself i just started crying afterwards.

So yes. All the time? hells no (and i'm ok with that) :)

Marc and I have been talking about creating a love ritual for Beltaine. Did you read for ideas or come up with the details on your own?

Heh. Might wanna ask my gal about that. I hear she's done a little research on the topic. Might be able to point you to some good resources.

The book Sex Magick by Donald Michael Craig is what spawned the ritual.

But we took items from various sources.

I also have a Beltane book.
<--is the pagan library. If you want to borrow either, let me know and we'll figure it out :D

Not quite the way i would describe it, but i've felt what i think it is he's describing. Only with a very few people, though. I would guess there's a certain compatibility required for it to happen.

Yes, a certain connection...plus, the right receptiveness of self. I think those are key.
