Hi, you don’t know me, but I found your journal by searching for Whitworth College on LJ. I am applying there, and I would really like to know what you think of it. Specifically, I am interested in the spiritual/religious atmosphere on the campus. How present is the Christian aspect? Are there a lot of Christian professors and groups people are involved in? Any information you can provide would be most appreciated.

Hey :) My experience has not been especially varied since I only just finished my first semester there...but that said...I love Whitworth :) I applied to seven schools (all over the country), was accepted at several of them, and thus had options....but there wasn't anywhere I was dying to go. Finally I decided on Whitworth (in April!) because it was closest and I had a good scholarship there. I think that the Christian aspect of your life on campus really depends on who you hang out with. If you want to get off campus to party and get drunk, you can do that. I don't think there is a lack of partying or whatever just because it's a Christian campus. However, becacuse it is a Christian campus, that is not present where you live. There are small groups you can be a part of...which I'd definitely advocate because it's a great way to get to know a handful of other Christians in your dorm. I live in BJ this year (and love it!) and there are some amazing guys who earlier this year would spontaneously start a worship "service"...and
