That was really enjoyable to read. I really liked how you portrayed both Warren and Layla. I not sure if you intended for a possible identity issues for Layla, but I like how it seemed like it was hint at it (i.e. "I'm not sure who I am anymore" type of issue later in life).

I think the identity issues were something Warren was seeing at the time in Layla's behaviour - of course, he might not be the most unbiased observer. But seeing as the film was Will's story, in the main, the question of what getting what she (thought? she) always wanted i.e. being Will's girlfriend afterwards and how that would affect her identity (especially when their education is preparing them to live two lives) is definietly one I wanted to explore, however glancingly
