What is this 'Halloween' thing I keep hearing about. Is it some kind of festival or holiday? And why do I need a costume for it?

And can someone show me how to work these weird devices? I've stared at the 'television' for awhile, but nothing's happening...

what is halloween?, clueless about technology, is it safe to come out?

"Halloween" is some kind of Round Ear festival. They all wear costumes and eat candy or something. I guess it could be fun.

Ask one of the crew for help with the television. They might help, if they're done cleaning up the mess from the monsters.

Eating sweets and wearing costumes? Doesn't sound that bad...sounds kind of like a Sensate party, or one of my father's masquerades...

The Sensates are one of the many factions in Sigil, they believe that to truly understand the multiverse, you have to experience everything that you can. There's quite a few hedonists amongst them, so they're known for their wild parties.

Halloween is also known as All Hallows Eve if that's any help.

It's a celebration of the dead, and some believe it is easier to speak with the dead during Halloween, because they come closer to the living.

Mostly, though, people just dress up and go to parties.

Yes, they're the faction who run the Morgue in Sigil. I don't exactly understand their philosphy, something about everyone already being dead, but they tend to keep to themselves mostly.

Near the bottom. It should be bigger than the other buttons, beside the ones with arrows. Which, for future reference, control the volume and channel.
