"Harry? Hey-" she murmured, grinning in that sleepy way as she started to pull herself into the sitting position.
That was when she noticed the candles and the flowers, everything that she had set up for the two of them tonight.
He'd missed their date.
Her expression dropped, more confused than anything else.
"Are you alright? What time is it?"

He rose to his feet slowly, his hand rubbing at the back of his neck.
"I'm alright-" he said, even as he shifted his back, feeling it crack slightly. "It's um-" he paused to look at his watch. "Um- late-"
He laughed awkwardly.
"I'm sorry-" he told her. "Work was-"
He shook his head.
"I'm sorry-"

Skylar looked around the room, chewing at the inside of her lip. Everything was still set up, the candles still glowing and the drinks on ice, though there was a puddle growing there at the base of the bucket.
The food must have been ice cold.
The disappointment was written all over Skylar's face. She was still in that semi-sleep state that she couldn't hide it from him.
"It's okay. I'll um- I'll clean all this up."
