rivlee and i were chatting yesterday about nostalgic songs from our childhood/etc and how it'd be lovely to make mixes of these, and. well, i made one, lmao. these are all songs that make me feel quite nostalgic and comforted - this is a mix of the music my mom used to play when i was about five or six years old; i'd come home from a half day of kindergarten and then she'd put on one of her cds and i'd dance in the living room for a few hours. i have a huge, huge soft spot for loreena mckennitt because of this (and because her music = beautiful. the highway man is purposely last on this mix because i adore the poem, and it's such a sad, intense song.) and, well, pretty much all of these singers. b*witched is the only group that was actually a cd i had bought/been given as a gift (well, and the lion king, which we had on tape and had been my brother's or sister's xD), rather than music of my mother's, and celine dion's my heart will go on is the only song that i've ever called in to a radio to ask if they could play it (albeit, it was radio disney and i'm not sure if i called in or made my brother, but). she also had a huge thing for riverdance and the soundtracks, but i remember these songs most clearly.
enjoy! =D (and feel free to nostalgia it up yourself!)
