I mentioned these a while back, I bought them along side the place were I bought my violin. Five dollars for six weird coins, they looked interesting enough. :D

The faded one is a 2 penny piece :-), I have a few in my collection.

First one - not sure. Too many possibilities *grin*
Second one - Belgium
Third on - English, it's one of the old 50ps. They got made bit smaller and thinner I think around '95. If I had one in my wallet the moment I'll post you a pic of the new ones. Actually, do you want some really random pictures of English money?
Fourth One - German :-)
Fifth one - is an English 2 penny piece.
Sixth one - don't know.

You're really making me pine for my coin collection...

Ee! You know quite a bit about coins, I take it? :D *jots all this down quickly* Wonderful!

And I would enjoy a glimpse of really random English money, I don't think I've ever seen English money since my aunt came over to Canada from England when I was four, so I don't recall what it looks like. XD

my coin collecting is mostly random stuff from holidays and my dad's trips (he's in the Navy) so I don't know much, but I have some good web sites dedicated to coin collecting in my favourites.

I shall fish my wallet out of my bag and see what I have. *hunts*

Oh, very neat. :D The only coins I use to collect when I was younger were the Olympic sets that Canada use to deal out in the country's currency every so often. As well as a special coin that my puny little town put out one year (The coin is HUGE, much bigger than a Toonie. ...Have you ever seen a Toonie, by the way? Most people I meet out of Canada find Toonies very interesting. :D)

I also am very fond of the Chinese coin. :D I wish I could read it!

The only things I can read/remember (and, sadly, this is Japanese translation of the characters, too. A lot of the kanji do stay the same, but many have additional/completely different meanings...):

?, Four, Ten, Six, ?, ?, ?, Middle

The first two characters in the bottom match the Japanese for "bank," but are reversed. Probably the rest says "of China," but those characters are naturally different than the Japanese... :3

Very fun! I don't have it with me (else I'd photo it) but the best money I have is some old Iraqi dinar. I also have some yen somewhere, and a Brazilian nickel, but otherwise it's just filth Canuck money that pollutes our coins! When I look through my pennies, I don't want to see any Queens, ya hear?! ;D

For the record, I do love the Canuck bills! Esp. the one with the dudes playing HOCKEY. :D :D :D

American money is so dull, despite frequent attempts to make it not so... The Washington state quarter just came out this year! (We achieved statehood so late...)

I'm use to seeing Queens on all my money since I live in Canada. :D It's not too odd seeing an American penny in with my change though. XD

When I went down to the states last September, I kept pulling out twenty dollar bills when I meant to take out dollar bills. The whole concept of dollar bills confused me alone, but making all the money look the same was just terrible! I'd rather have the money colour-coded! XD
