Dialysis....Update
We are home now. Steve has had a venous catheter placed in his neck and had his first dialysis treatment tonight. He will be going every monday Wednsday, & Friday for four hours for approximately 4-6 weeks. The first week in June he will be going to get his permenant catheter in his stomach. Then it will take 2-4 weeks to heal and be ready for use ( Read more... ) -

I don't know if Steve's mom knows yet, but as of today Steve is going on dialysis. He has requested his blood work be redrawn and retested, but we know it is unlikely that it will change anything. On to a new chapter.... -

Cheat Fest, Day 3!
Oh Cheat Fest Day 3… Top Yough… I woke up to Evy “knocking” at my tent door asking me to join the group in running the Top Yough. I rolled over and groaned. Cheat Canyon
Day two of Cheat Fest ’08… Cheat Canyon! I have since realized that it is probably fortunate that I don’t like to read descriptions of the rapids on a river before I put on. Lower BIg Sandy 5/2/08
Well Friday May 2nd was the beginning of an amazing Cheat Fest ’08!! I woke to the urgings of my fellow paddlers. They were insisting I would have no problem running the Lower Big Sandy.
