*nods* I've been sexually assaulted twice and I don't know how I didn't die when my drink was drugged...and you know what? My girlfriends blamed it on me. Even though I was with them that evening.
Oh my God, that's terrible. And to blame you, that's apalling-- I cannot believe that! It makes me so angry when I hear that. I understand what you say about trusting others. A violation like that makes it so hard to trust others, I used to volunteer at the local rape crisis center here-- I used go to the hospital with the survivors, and just even getting them to trust me was difficult. But we worked on the empowerment model, and it's all about giving that person the control that was so viciously taken from her.
Hey, it's cool we have to spread the word that rape is not okay.
Ooh, you'll lurrrve Ireland. Um, I loved County Kerry-- Killarney in particular, it's very beautiful and the people are so nice. Cork, and Galway are nice as well. If you can, get off the beaten path, you'll be very greatful for that. Limerick is pretty cool, too. It's not as famous a city, but well worth the visit. It's nickname in the eighties was "Stab City" but it's no longer that-- I was a little freaked when I found that out, but all in all I had a great time there. And then of course there's Dublin-- that's where I lived. I absolutely loved Dublin, a very cool city. There are lots of little pubs, restuarants and places like that where you can get a good sampling of the local life there. And then there's the history and the culture-- okay, I'm a big nerd when it comes to that, lol. Anyway, there's a lot to do. Again, you're gonna love it!
I hope that helped, it's kind of all over the place, lol. I could go on forever, but I don't want to bore you. :-)

I was perusing about and found your journal.
I stole this. I hope that's cool.
On an entirely different note, I'm taking a jaunt to Ireland in May. I'm looking for interesting places. Any suggestions?
