Thank you very much! I always get a bit twitchy when people start sacrificing one character to serve the interpretation of another, hahaha. And I agree; what I love about both Marianne and Elinor is that they're rounded enough characters with their own strengths and flaws that a simplistic reading just doesn't work.
This is lovely! Elinor is the Austen character I relate most to as well (and not just because my name is Eleanor), and it's nice to know that others like her as well.
Yaaaaaaaaay ♥♥♥ See? This is wonderful. I still like you see Elinor's sense as being somewhat detrimental to herself and that both sisters learn and grow throughout the novel, even if in two very different ways.
It's a great book omg. I was introduced to it cause my mum got the DVD of the 95 adaptation for us to watch one weekend and was like "Well you're kinda Elinor and your sister is Marianne soooo..."
