Right. The protestants have these parades, to uh, celebrate their non-Catholicness. It's a 200 year tradition. One used to march throught the Catholic neighborhoods, but the goverment said they couldn't do that anymore because it upset people. The protestants want to take their "traditional" route though, so they're protesting and rioting. ( ( Read more... )

A llama-like thing from Peru. They're very shy, and usually don't breed in captivity. But the Belfast zoo has a mommy and a daddy, and two little baby vacunas, all of whom were hanging out in the sun the day I went to see them. Absolutely lovely.
