No spoilers here! I promise.

I'm having trouble focusing on FF XIII. I'm not sure if it's because life is so hectic lately and only recently settled into a nice calm, or if it's the game itself. Are you kidding? Really? I mean, was it just another stray tutorial? or are they really common even though you're half-way through?

This. I'm only in the third chapter so I can't speak for the rest of the game, but that is exactly how I feel right now. Because of the battle system, the game even does most of the fighting for me, so all it feels like I'm doing is pressing A a lot. The world is so pretty and interesting, I want to explore! Hearing that you're even further into the game and still feeling the same way makes me sad.

In spite of that, I am getting wrapped up in the story, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it unfolds. I just wish I cared more for the characters. The only one I'm really attached to right now is Sazh.
