I started an entry about hanami but cut it off mid post...honestly that weekend was pretty uneventful anyway, so we'll skip it. Yes, I'm being lazy, but I have excuses. I'm sick. Not just in that "ohh, litte mucus, obnoxious cough" kinda way, more like "face-melting fever, shivering

I investigated how much it would cost to send you a can of Progresso New England clam chowder, and the postage alone would be around $25, at the cheapest. Heartbreaking, man. I seriously considered it, but I couldn't justify it to Drew, when he works, teaches guitar, and goes to grad school, and I just putz around my undergrad. Basically, he makes over 2/3 of our combined income, and is not really into sending you a $26 can of soup. Damn. If I was a wealthy woman, I would overnight the bitch and you'd have soup fast enough to make your head spin.
When are you coming back? My birthday is coming up, and I am truly chagrined that you will be half a world away when I come home to live it up for one night. I miss you. It's weird, though, that I miss you more now that you are in Japan, even though I haven't seen you more than a few times since I left for school 3 years ago. Pretty much, I know that I can't call you and Kali up when I am in town, and that bums me out.
