Something you love?
Yabu: Pork. I generally love all meat and I also like beef and chicken, but for meat to be healthy and easily digested, pork is the best. I don’t like oily food so rather than pork cutlet and roast pork loin, I will choose pork fillet.
Hikaru: Ramen and curry. For ramen I like pork and soy broth ramen, which is also known as the “home made style” and also miso ramen. For miso ramen, it is the best with onion and butter toppings. For curry, I acted in a drama with Kusanagi Tsuyoshi-kun previously and he taught me the recipe: don’t add a lot of water, and I love curry cooked with ingredients like spring onions and eggplants, which contain a lot of water.
Your childhood dream?
Yabu: When I was in kindergarten, I said that I wanted to be cellophane tape. In the past too, even when I had to use glue during work, I would use cellophane tape and that’s how much I like it. I probably looked up to it.
Hikaru: I wanted to be purple colour (laugh). After I knew that mixing my two favourite colours red and blue makes purple, it seems that I said that. I like purple by itself too.
Words which make you happy
Yabu: I will probably be happy if someone whom I meet for the first time tells me “unexpectedly you have a childish side to yourself”. Because I am the eldest in the group, I have an image of being reliable so I am glad the moment they realize that I have another side.
Hikaru: “I watched your show. It was funny!” I will be happy if I am told that. Especially if that’s a midnight show, I will be even happier.
Your fashion trend recently
Yabu: I have started wearing skinny jeans! I am awkward having to show my body figure so openly so I have always avoided them. But I lost to the sales person’s talk and bought them. When I wore them to work, Dai-chan praised me and said “that’s nice!” I was able to think “So I am able to wear skinny jeans too~”
Hikaru: As usual, I am not particular. If I have to say something, I like loose clothings but Yamada still continues to tell me “Wear jackets” or “Go and wear more mature clothing”
Your favourite JUMP song
Yabu: DREAMER, which was in our first album. I wrote the lyrics and they were simple yet shining, I feel that those are lyrics which I could only write then.
Hikaru: Ride with me. We danced and it feels that it the song that fits best. The strong beat and dance choreography feel good too, and for that genre, I like this song.
Your “my rule” in your lifestyle
Yabu: I don’t accumulate trash, and I throw them almost immediately. Also, before I go out I turn on the washing machine. While I am at work, the clothes would have been washed and even dried so isn’t that easy?
Hikaru: When I wake up in the morning, I first open the window to let the sun shine in. When I do that, my heart and body turns on its switch and I feel “today I will work hard!”. Also, before breakfast, I eat yogurt. I often add cereal and dry fruits to my yogurt.
Your favourite place in your room
Yabu: My sofa. When Chinen comes to my house, he often lies and sleeps on the sofa, with his legs resting on my thighs. If Inoo does that I would get angry but because it is Chinen I forgive him (laugh)
Hikaru: I bought a lying chair during my home centre location shoot in Hirunandesu. While sitting, you can stretch your body too and that feels good.
What makes you happiest?
Yabu: When I am singing passionately in a loud voice while in the bath!
Hikaru: Work I guess. Normal people work hard during work, and enjoy their off time though. But for me it is the opposite. Work is fun and on my off days, I rest and it feels like I prepare my body for the next work day.
Who do you spend your time with recently?
Yabu: At Tottsu’s house, we played a “lets see who can touch the other person’s forehead first” game. We ran about in the house, and did pro wrestling and the result was, I won!
Hikaru: I went to the pool with Chinen. He sent me a mail at 830am in the morning and said “lets go to the pool” and I replied and said “okay”. After the swim, we went to the convenience store and bought rice, and ate at home. Then both of us went to work (laugh). By the way, it was the first time a member has come to my house!
Recently you think “I am such a guy”
Yabu: I thought of it now but I unexpectedly can really eat a lot. During the interview now, I ate a packet of unagi sushi and three siew mais. When I think “Okay, lets eat!”, I cant really eat a lot but it seems that I can eat a lot while doing something else.
Hikaru: I am a “my pace” person. For work, if I do a major change to my hairstyle or hair colour, I should have consulted my manager, but I decided on pink by myself (laugh)
