Q1. Your girlfriend is late for your Christmas date! How long will you wait before you get angry?

Yabu: I can probably wait endlessly. As long as she contacts me to inform me that she is late, I wouldn’t get worried and think that something had happened, and I wont be angry too. I will just stroll around aimlessly alone while waiting and that’s no issue at all. I might probably say something cool like “Thank goodness I now have time to buy you one more present” (laugh). By the way I am the type to calculate my time and leave my house so that I reach just on time.

Hikaru: I can wait for hours. We had promised to meet so I will probably wait even if she doesn’t contact me. I am totally fine with that. I am not concerned over the reason for her being late too, will probably think that she is tired and still sleeping. I will go to the bookstore and just stroll around randomly.

Q2. If you watch a movie with your girlfriend at home on Christmas, what will you watch?

Yabu: Nightmare before Christmas. I like that movie so I will probably be happy if we could watch it together. Or the Disney short movie series which I like would be great too. Among those, there is a story where Tigger is the main cast who lives alone and that one is good. It would be great if it could create a warm atmosphere as both of us watch it together. ….But frankly speaking, my ideal Christmas is not to spend it with a girl, but to have a lot of fun with my male friends.

Hikaru: Don’t girls like love stories? But I like action movies so I will pick a movie which consists of both elements. For example, Hugh Jackman’s Real Steel. There is this famous quote in the movie which says something like “I have travelled millions of miles just to kiss you” and how he said it was really cool. I do want to watch it together. If we spend it at home, I will want to order delivery for food. I will order one item from various shops. I love pizza recently and their salad is really delicious. They use white turnips and the dressing is really good too. Since it is Christmas, I do want to see the illuminations too. There is a famous spot in Miyagi and I haven’t been there since I was young so I do want to go again after such a long time.

Q3. The moment you become indecisive?

Yabu: There are such moments. For example when I go shopping for clothes, I get really troubled over which colour to pick for the same design of clothes. In the end I will ask the sales person “which one do you think suits me better?” and decide from there. It happens when I go out for meals too. I ask myself what should I eat~ but I cant get the answer and in the end the person who is with me decides. That happens often. If the person with me is someone as indecisive as me, we will never be able to decide (laugh). But when I eat with Chinen, we always go to the same place so I will never be troubled over that.

Hikaru: I don’t really have such times. When I am alone, I will just pick whatever comes into my mind like “I’ll eat this” or “I’ll go there”. When I eat with my friends too, I give about three options that come into my mind and then let the other person decide. Dai-chan is the indecisive one. We get to choose our clothes for Hirunandesu and they always prepare about 3 sets for us. I am able to decide immediately but even though Dai-chan comes in earlier than me, he cannot decide (laugh)

Q4. Something you want to do on an off day where you can wake up just a little bit later?

Yabu: I don’t want to decide on my schedule. I wake up when I want to, eat randomly and maybe go watch a movie, and meet my friends in the evening… I want to spend it like that in my own way. But I also want to do all household chores on my off day so on the previous night, I always write notes like “Wash the clothes” or “Clean the house” and stick them in my kitchen (laugh). Then I tear off the notes for all those which I completed. After everything is completed, there is a sense of satisfaction.

Hikaru: I have not changed my wardrobe from summer clothes to winter clothes so I want to pack them. After that, I will probably go somewhere with my friends. When it was warmer, I went to play tennis. It was the first time I played that in 2016 but it was so fun I went about three times. When I have an off day, I will think about what I want to do the night before, and while thinking, I will fall asleep. I am someone who is in the living room until just right before I want to sleep. I don’t like being in my bed when I still cant sleep. So I always wait till I am at my maximum sleepiness, and then move to my bed while bumping into the walls (laugh)

Q5. An episode where you thought “It’s finally here!!”?

Yabu: I had been looking forward to the latest series of Walking Dead, so when it started I was like “Finally!” I also get excited and think “I finally have time to watch them!” when I manage to clear all the dramas I have recorded in my hard disk. I always record the drama “Sanada Maru” and the other day (Okamoto) Kenichi-san was in one of the episodes and he was so cool. After I finished watching it, I mailed Keito and said “This week is awesome! So cool!” (laugh)

Hikaru: The MotoGP bike races have finally ended and my favourite racer Valentino Rossi is in second place this year, and I felt like “Yay! I have waited long enough for this moment!” I went to watch the races when it was held in Japan. The feeling of watching it live is really different. I will first listen to the sounds of the bikes, before plugging in the earpieces and it is easier listening to the commentary like that. Currently I am looking forward to my birthday. I haven’t planned on doing anything but it has been some time since my friends celebrated for me, so it would be great if I could meet them. I want them to give me a surprise, I am waiting (laugh).

Q6. Your recent updates!

Yabu: My friend had wanted to paint the wooden floor in his balcony and I went to help. We went to the DIY store together and bought red paint. The painting process was much more fun than I thought~ I don’t have much chances to paint like that so it felt new to me.

Hikaru: I bought a chair. I am not particular about water and I often drink tap water. So I often sit near the water supply and drink water while watching television (laugh). So I bought a bar chair to replace my current one. It is made of leather and wood and has a modern design so I like it.
