Translation: Duet May 2017 - Yabu and Hikaru

Yabu: I think I have the same lifestyle as the Duet readers. After I finish work, I eat, then watch television after I return home, and play games too. This cycle doesn’t have a definite time everyday though.. I also eat with Chinen. We do say “Lets eat at a different place sometimes” but they always don’t work out well so in the end it is always the same place (laugh). When we go to a new place we often invite Hikaru. The other day Kochi-kun came too. I check my mails before I sleep. Yesterday Tottsu sent me a mail, and the contents was just a line from a song lyrics we like. So I continued and sent back the next line, and this repeated till the song ended and finally he sent me a “good!” emoji (laugh)
Hikaru: Even on my off days, I wake up at 9am. I make a simple breakfast of scrambled eggs and sausages and eat them. If it is my off day, I often go to the bakery. It is common for me to buy home sweet bread, vegetable bread and my favourite sesame dango bread. I often eat out at night, with my music friends and often with Yabu and Chinen too. Also, recently I have started going to the gym again as I want to have muscles, and my friends also invited me to play basketball. I try to move my body as much as possible even on off days. I still love games but if I am too engrossed in them, I spend too much time indoors and that’s no good. The other day I managed to clear and finish a game I was really addicted to, in two days! (laugh)
Lifestyle item - Closet
Yabu: I like comfortable and easy clothes. For my shoes, my boots don’t often make an appearance now but instead my sneakers have increased. Dai-chan gave me a pair of slip-ons for my birthday this year. I was happy and thought “He has been taking notice of me! ”♡
Hikaru: I have many pairs of underwear, about 20 pairs. I feel that flashy underwear makes you more cheerful so I like those with colours, patterns and striking ones!
Lifestyle item - Kitchen
Yabu: A place I am not fated with (laugh). When I stand in the kitchen, it is probably only to transfer the fried rice that came from delivery to a plate.
Hikaru: Thanks to Hirunandesu, I have many kitchen goods. During location shoot, I bought a millefeuille knife, a grater and a frying pan. I also have a petite knife which a chef gave me, and many items which are my favourite. For cups too, the round ones, the wobbly glasses, heat insulating double walled glasses, American size cups, I have so many and everyday it is fun choosing which one should I use.
Lifestyle item - Bath
Yabu: I often want to stock up on my bath supplies. The other day I dropped by the pharmacy and when I thought “I have finished my body soap stock!” but “If I buy two it is more worth it!” and so I bought them. But when I went home, I found out that the one I was out of was my shampoo! So in the end I now have 5 bottles of body soap…
Hikaru: My favourite item is an electrical facial cleanser that gently washes your face. I buy those that have good reviews online!
Lifestyle item - Others
Yabu: I normally use a long wallet but when I bought a palm size wallet which I can put in my pocket for nearby shopping use. That’s really convenient! I was touched and thought.. there are different ways to use wallets…. In fact, the small wallet is too convenient and now I am thinking of changing it to my main wallet (laugh)
Hikaru: I am particular about my bed mattress. The foam memory type remembers your body shape so when you turn around in your sleep, it feels horrible so I choose the harder ones which will rebound when you get on them.
Lifestyle rule
Yabu: When I reach home, I wash my feet immediately and wear my slippers. I am not a cleanliness freak though, because I don’t request my family or other people who come to my house to do it (laugh). During summer, I change it to beach sandals.
Hikaru: I will definitely use the kotatsu in winter! It is already spring now but the days are still cold so I am still using it. I air the kotatsu mattress regularly and use a cleaner to remove dust and also spray anti-bacteria sprays. I am allergic to house dust so I have to do such things properly
