You know, I really can't fathom how I managed to overlook this gem two months ago, because it's brilliant. I have just had the pleasure of reading all five chapters at one go, and my hat is off to you - very, very nicely done, thus far.

You have a lovely grasp of the characters, and a truly wonderful way with dialogue. Each conversation is absolutely spot-on, and there's so much going on beneath the surface that I'll probably need a re-read to catch everything.

Anyway, I think it's a fantastic, very plausible look at how the early days of their friendship might have gone, and I await the final chapter with great anticipation :)

That's really flattering, thank you for saying so. It's also nice to hear that people can get through all of it in one go, so far. And thanks for the ego stroking, pointing out all the factors that I've been specifically working on. hee. ;) I don't think the final chapter will be disappointing in any way. Just hang in there (if my icon is any hint).

Thanks very much! And I really don't think this next chapter will take 2 months to write. Fingers crossed.

I love your writing style, Watson in here seems so self-loathing and hurting and angry and Holmes is being just himself; well his most gentle self i believe. I like the way you portray them, the angst and the tension building up from the second half of this chapter down to Holmes kissing the doctor was great(Yay!)

And i doesnt matter -to me at least- if you take months to continue,as long as you DO continue! =D

It definitely will not take me 2 months to write this last chapter. Although I will tell you that there will be a LOT to write. It'll be fun. Thank you so much for a nice review.

I am so glad you've continued this. When it had been so long, I feared you'd abandoned it.

*hugs*

I was afraid I'd abandoned it myself, until a couple days ago, and I made it my project to GET THIS WRITTEN.

Good on you! I listed this and Broken Substitutes as WIPs to watch back in March. I'd almost given up hope on this one, since Broken Subtitutes wrapped up a while ago.

I myself have a Torchwood WIP that has been languishing for months and months. Every now and again I poke at it, like a bruise, but knitting projects have been taking up my writing time.

WIPs to watch? Well I'm flattered, thank you. WIPs are tough. I wanted to write this entire thing, finish it, and then post it in chapters every few days or so. But that would have taken ages, and I most definitely would have lost my motivation halfway through if I'd tried. So although this dragged and dragged, I think it was the right idea.
