ohhh these are all so beautiful. i spent a long time on her website looking at her work. i love her watercolors.

i really wish I could see her stuff up close, yk? i wanted to stick my face right in there and look at the brush strokes, etc. the pictures are too small on her website. lol

it's really interesting to see her own visual language and what shows up in her art over and over. my mind's awhirl with all the myth/religious symbols, etc. lol

You are wonderful. I thought I'd get that out of the way since I haven't told you that lately. If ever.

*ahem*

OMG, aren't these just lovely? Absolutely wonderful. :) Her watercolors are pristine. :)

awwww thank you :D

well, i really wish i could articulate something on the myths/religious symbols she's drawing on particularly the greek myths/xtian symbols. but it's been years since i've read the stories and have forgotten alot about that stuff.

it can be disorienting sometimes to look at her stuff, like i'm in a parallel universe. lol it seems so familiar--probably because of the trappings of white western oil painting and all the 'old masters' it references. except suddenly what's been missing all along is finally present.

there's so much beauty, loneliness, contemplativeness, longing, fierceness, etc. some of them have a haunting quality, like they're ghosts.
