oh my god. yes it is. i am getting a couple videos uploaded and will write a FULL post when i am not hungover. but it was the MOST FUN i've ever had. it's basically like having half a million friends, everyone just wants to drink and hang out, no animosity (except the angry drunks). it's the best. and i'm not just saying that because i made out with 4 guys in 24 hours, either.
and in response to a hockey game: sweden, yes! i'll work on figuring out tickets!
I only had one day in Munich, my last, but I really liked it. I took a walking tour and it was a Saturday plus Gay Pride weekend, so it was a good time.
The thing I remember from our guide about Oktoberfest is, she was Australian, and she said so many Aussies come to Oktoberfest, get drunk and lose their passports, that they set up a temporary "embassy" in Munich just for those two weeks, since normally they'd have to go to Berlin. And she was like, "Now, normal people would find this fact pretty embarrassing, but whenever I tell it to a bunch of Aussies they're all, 'Yeeeeeeaaaaaaahhhhh!'" Ahahaha.
P.S. I love your icons. I should make some out of my pictures.
I love Munich, but I didn't really get outside the Oktoberfest area this time, so I have to go back.
I definitely believe that about the Aussies, I almost lost my cellphone and I lost a bag of souvenirs, so I firmly believe my Passport would've been somewhere lost in the shuffle. It was the crazies couple of days of my life thus far.
Thank you! You should definitely should! Do you have pictures uploaded anywhere?
The German in me wants to get to Germany sometime in my life to visit Munich. See the Festhaus (is that what they call it)
It's really sad but your toast reminded me of the episode of the Girls next Door when they went to Munich on He'f 80's birthday celebration and Bridget and Kendra walked around the city going "prosit".
