Life hit me with a big change when I lost the job I'd had for four years. Quite predictably, at first I really just wanted my old life back. Trying to hold on to something that was no longer present, no longer true... sigh ( Read more... )

This is beautiful work you're doing. From my perspective, it looks like these are the questions that will lead you forward.

Back in the previous century I worked in an applied-research lab. The most successful folks were just like this depiction of who you are. 'Going back to school' was not the path of most usefulness, because most of what was needed was not what's taught in organized classes, even those for people already professionals.

Many Blessings for finding your perfect work ... or your next perfect work, at least.

I think it's fantastic that you know what you enjoyed about the last job that you'd like to have in any future career choices. With that knowledge in mind, it will be easier to see what looks like a good idea to work on next. You seem to be quite well-prepared to find out what you WANT to learn or do next.

*hugs* It's really great that you are so aware of the right questions to ask yourself and what advice you'd like from others.

Entrepeneuse. Seriously. I recommend creating some new kind of web-based technology whose startup costs amount to a domain name and time/skull-sweat.

It's one of the few paths I see that would really roger your hammerstein.
