One thing that is on my mind a lot is abortion, the right to and practice of and those little bastards that picket outside the clinics and harrass the women, girls and the men and women who escort those women into and out of the clinic

Tonight I met with some friends, and I found out about a girl that had found out she was pregnant, so she went out of town, did every fucking drug she could find, and basically hurt her body with them to induce an abortion. It worked, she miscarried, and spent three days in the hospital.

But safe, affordable abortions are bad. I just don't get it.

I don't understand it either. Maybe she was afraid of being harrassed by the protesters? But even then, they won't care about her. I hope your friend is ok.

I'm not actually friends with the girl, but she's fine now (this was a few years ago).

It's just so frustrating when people can't understand that abortion will never stop, even if (when?) it's illegal. And the case I mentioned shows that abortion still isn't easily accessible for those who really need it, and if someone wants an abortion badly enough, they'll find a way to get one.

Exactly. That is why abortion needs to remain legal and easily accessible.
