One morning, they woke to discover that the backyard had become an explosion of white.
“Let me show you something,” Loki said, nodding towards the center.
Zephyrs lifted the seeds into the air in puffs, some curling into dancing spirals, others fluttering down as light snowfalls. Loki studied them with his usual calm, aware that a mistimed gesture could drop a hurricane on the city. If the words ‘personal orchestra’ were hyperbolic, they weren’t by much.
When he finished his little show, Farley brushed a few stray tufts off his pants and smiled as Shadow pounced into the new drifts.
