On the iPad

I hate the name, but I'm sure I'll get used to it. I was hoping for a MacBook with a touch screen (with or without a built in keyboard). I'm not thrilled that that's not what it is, but iWork being available for it may make up for that. While I enjoy mocking the name, I will probably get one when I have a job. I've wanted to get an e-reader but have been put off by some of the kindle problems. I like some of the features of the i-phone but am put off by the privacy issues & cost. It seems like a good product. But the name? Damn.

They'll make the name work in the end. Remember the Wii? I think people will stop fixating on the pad/tampon jokes if it's a success. In the long run, I think the bigger problem with the name is that it's too similar to iPod.
